Indus Motors Company (IMC), the maker of Toyota vehicles in Pakistan, has unveiled the eagerly anticipated details of the upcoming Corolla Cross. The company is gearing up for the imminent launch of this highly awaited car, marking a significant milestone in Pakistan's automotive industry.

Corolla Cross is a hybrid sports utility vehicle (SUV) that offers a smart and stylish driving experience. This hybrid SUV combines performance, comfort, and safety in a sleek and spacious design. Here are some of the features that make the Corolla Cross stand out from the crowd.

Features of Corolla Cross in Pakistan

The Corolla Cross is powered by a hybrid system that consists of a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor. The petrol engine produces 72 horsepower at 5200 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 3600 rpm, while the electric motor adds 53 horsepower and 163 Nm of torque. The combined output of the hybrid system is 121 horsepower, which gives the SUV enough power and acceleration to handle various driving conditions.

The Corolla Cross also features a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), which ensures smooth and efficient shifting of gears. The SUV has an EV mode, which allows it to run on electric power only for short distances and low speeds, reducing fuel consumption and emissions. The SUV also has two drive modes: Power and ECO, which let the driver choose between more responsive performance or more economical driving.

The SUV has a fuel tank capacity of 36 litres and a fuel consumption of 4.4 litres per 100 km, according to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) test. This means that the SUV can travel up to 818 km on a single tank of fuel, making it ideal for long-distance trips. The SUV also has a low exhaust emission level of Euro 4, which means that it meets the stringent environmental standards of the European Union.

The Corolla Cross has a MacPherson strut suspension at the front and a torsion-beam suspension at the rear, which provide a comfortable and stable ride. The SUV also has a 16-inch ventilated disc brake at the front and a 16-inch disc brake at the rear, which ensure effective braking performance and stability.

The SUV has a minimum turning radius of 5.2 metres (tire) and 5.5 metres (body), which makes it easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces. The SUV has a ground clearance of 160 mm, which allows it to handle rough terrain. The SUV has a curb weight of 1395 kg, which is relatively light for its size and class.

The SUV also has seat belts with a pre-tensioner and a force limiter, which tighten and loosen the seat belts according to the impact and reduce the risk of injury.
