At a time when Apple-centric gadget spare is resonating with rumours of a HomePod, the iPhone maker has launched a new colour variant of its HomePod mini.

While Apple initially launched the HomePod mini in only space grey and white colourways— discounting the later additions of yellow, orange, and blue finishes — the new colour iteration is midnight.

Apparently, the new hue resembles so much with the existing grey colour option available since its inception, its unique name brings it on par with the midnight HomePod 2nd gen which was released last year.

New HomePod mini release date

As the new HomePod mini's midnight colour variant has been launched, it will go on sale on July 17th in 32 countries, with the US being the most prominent. It will be priced at $99, the same price tag as that of its other colour variants.

As per the company, the new HomePod mini’s mesh is 100% made up of recycled mesh, as the smart speaker has been using 90% recycled material.

Backed by the smartest of the top AI assistants, Siri, and capabilities to sense temperature and humidity, the remaining pack of features and physical appeal stays the same with the latest HomePod mini.
