The popular instant messaging platform WhatsApp has introduced text formatting options that allow users to exchange everything ranging from grocery lists to step-by-step instructions during conversation.
This latest feature follows the launch of WhatsApp's most-acclaimed feature — ability to use two whatsApp accounts on the same device — in its entire assortment of experience-enhancing features, expanding the range of features it offers.
With this new feature rolled out, you can now use bulleted and numbered lists, block quotes, and inline code to make your chat experience on the app more efficient.

These new text styling feature comes to be added in the list of existing text formatting options that include bold, italic, strikethrough, and monospaced formats which we've been using on WhatsApp for a couple of years now.
Whereas, the recently added bunch of text formatting options brings Bulleted list, Numbered list, Block quote, and Inline code.
How to use new text formatting options on WhatsApp
The list below contains the newly integrated text formatting options and how you can use them in chats.
- Bulleted list: Start a new line with a - (dash) symbol, followed by a space.
- Numbered list: Start a new line with 1 or 2 digits, followed by a period and a space.
- Block quote: Start a new line with the > symbol, followed by a space.
- Inline code: Wrap any code or text you want to highlight using the ` (backtick) symbol.
