Nintendo, a Japanese multinational video game company, has confirmed that the next game console it makes will be in the Switch family. Currently, the tipster comes out in full force to bring its specs.

The latest leak indicated that Nintendo is pushing the power to the point that the console requires a second cooler and a 60W charger.

According to a tipster, the updated features of the new console are seen on shipping manifests. However, these types of things might be faked, but based on the existing leaks related to the Switch 2's specs, it would make sense for the device to require extra cooling and a bigger power supply.

The rumoured extra cooler is apparently in the dock, not the handheld console itself. That has led fans to anticipate that it will offer a bigger boost in graphics and performance.

The tipster claimed that the 60W charger will let the device charge more immediately. The current switch can accept power adapters up to 39W, while it's rated to charge at around 18W, which is relatively slow compared to many modern devices.

If this rumour is true, the Steam Deck charges at 45W, which would put the Switch 2 ahead of the popular portable PC in raw charging speed.

Switch 2 is expected to feature an NVIDIA Tegra 239 SoC, merging the Ampere GPU architecture and 12 GB of RAM. The game cards are likely to be Samsung fifth generation V-NAND with up to 1.4 GB/s read speed.

It's anticipated to support NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and Ray Reconstruction, letting it pump out substantially sharper visuals than the current Switch.

One of the major advantages Nintendo has over the Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, or any portable gaming device is its software. They're not available on other platforms. The Switch has been a magnificent success for Nintendo.
