Nothing, the Chinese smartphone maker, confirmed the launch of its new earbuds: Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear A on April 18.
Before its official release, alleged renders of the truly wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds have leaked on the internet, along with their pricing and specifications. The renders show that the expected earbuds would have a semi-transparent design, similar to their older versions. The Nothing Ear A is said to include active noise cancellation (ANC) of up to 45dB and an IP54 rating.
Tipster @ishanagarwal24 revealed the pricing, and specifications of Nothing Ear and Ear A on X (formerly known as Twitter). The pictures shared by the tipster show a design that is identical to Nothing's earlier wireless earbuds.
Moreover, they appear to have semi-transparent cases and stems. The Nothing Ear A is depicted in black, white, and yellow, whereas, the Nothing Ear is shown in black and white. The images show "Nothing" etched on the stem and appear to feature red and white dots indicating the left and right sides, like earlier.
Gadgets360, citing sources, reported that Nothing Ear A will cost EUR 99 (about INR 8,000). They are supposed to provide up to 45dB ANC and dual connections. They may have up to eight hours of battery life with ANC turned off and are rated IP54 for water resistance.
Whereas, the Nothing Ear is expected to be priced at EUR 149 (approximately INR 13,000). The source predicts that the earphones would cost less than INR 9,999 in India.
The company will officially announce its Ear A and Ear TWS earbuds on April 18. Moreover, the company has decided to change its naming convention with the upcoming earbuds. The Nothing Ear earphones are intended to offer significant improvements over the Ear 2. The latter is priced at INR 9,999 in India.
