Nothing Phone 1 users have something exciting to look forward to as the UK-based company rolls out its latest Nothing OS 2.5.5. The update, which is based on Android 14, aims to enhance the functionality and usability of the smartphone, marking another step forward in the evolution of Nothing's proprietary operating system.

Since its launch in July 2022, Nothing Phone 1 has been steadily evolving, with regular software upgrades. Now, with the Nothing OS 2.5.5 update, users are in for a treat. One of the notable additions is the integration of ChatGPT, allowing users to initiate voice conversations with the AI assistant via Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear A true wireless earphones.

To get their hands on the latest update, Nothing Phone 1 users can navigate to Settings > System > System Update > Download > Install. While the stable version is gradually rolling out, users can manually check for the update and expect it to arrive on their devices in the coming days if it is not already available.

In addition to ChatGPT integration, the Nothing OS 2.5.5 update introduces several other enhancements. Users now have the option to apply the Nothing Icon Pack exclusively to the home screen, improving accessibility to the app drawer. Moreover, organising apps on the home screen has become more intuitive with the ability to scroll through pages while holding app icons.

Users gain the flexibility to enable or disable the Quick Setting swipe-down page on the lock screen and access new customisable icon options within the status bar. The RAM Booster features smoother performance, complemented by AI-backed algorithms for smarter auto-brightness adjustments.

Furthermore, the Nothing OS 2.5.5 update fixes issues regarding automatic Wi-Fi disconnection, screenshot frame display, and vibration feedback during screen swiping. It also resolves a problem with earbud volume synchronisation and audio switching during calls with paired devices.
