Nothing Phone 2a is confirmed to make its debut in India on March 5. Ahead of the launch, recent leaks have suggested the potential design of the smartphone. According to these leaks, the device could boast a pill-shaped camera module on the rear housing a dual camera setup.

The Nothing Phone 2a is expected to offer notable improvements over its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 1, and is expected to be more budget-friendly compared to the Nothing Phone 2, the handset's processor details have also been officially revealed by the company.

Tipster Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks) in collaboration with SmartPrix shared design renders. The design has been created in 5K resolution using Computer-Aided Design (CAD).

These renders show a distinct camera module design featuring a horizontally aligned pill-shaped setup for the dual cameras. Surrounding the module are three LED strips, which are anticipated to form Nothing's Glyph Interface, also known as Glyph Lights. Notably, two curved strips are positioned on the left side, while a vertically oriented straight strip is situated on the right.

The semi-transparent back panel showcased in the Nothing Phone 2a renders offers a glimpse of various internal components, including screws and mechanisms. Additionally, the company's branding is visibly displayed in a vertical alignment towards the bottom-left corner. The smartphone is presented in a Dark Grey finish.

Previously, hinting at the processor choice, an X (formerly Twitter) user Carl Bhai (@getpeid) said that it is “Not the Dimensity 7200.” However, the company officially confirmed on Monday that the device will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC.

In a video, Raymond Zhu, the Product Marketing Manager at Nothing, explained that they opted for the MediaTek chipset over two Qualcomm alternatives due to its superior performance. Furthermore, a separate announcement revealed that the chipset is a custom creation, co-engineered exclusively by MediaTek and Nothing.

According to earlier reports, the Nothing Phone 2a is expected to sport a 6.7-inch full-HD+ OLED display boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to run on Android 14-based NothingOS 2.5.2 and may offer configurations of up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

For photography enthusiasts, the rear camera setup could include a 50-megapixel primary sensor alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. On the front, a 32-megapixel camera is anticipated for selfies and video calls. Moreover, the device is projected to house a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.
