Foldables are slowly growing in popularity, the latest example is the Nubia Flip 5G which was unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024. It is also claimed to be the cheapest folding phone yet. Nubia Flip 5G is the company’s first foldable phone in a clamshell style, similar to the ZTE Libero Flip, which was launched in Japan last week.

Nubia Flip 5G sports a stunning 6.9-inch foldable OLED display with a resolution of 1,188 x 2790px and a 120Hz refresh rate. The main panel is complemented by a circular 1.43-inch cover screen, offering a resolution of 466 x 466px. The secondary display gives out many stunning functions, doubling a camera viewfinder for capturing selfies with the phone’s primary camera. Moreover, it provides ease of access for making calls, media playback management, showing weather details and performing everyday tasks.

Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC, not suitable for high-end usage and gaming enthusiasts. Moreover, there is no memory card slot to expand storage as it is built in with 128GB storage and 6GB of RAM. Software-wise, it runs on Android 13.
Nubia Flip 5G camera
In terms of camera, the device is equipped with a 50MP main camera alongside a 2MP depth sensor. The camera is capable of recording 4K videos as well as 1080p videos at 30 FPS. The front camera is equipped with a 16MP shooter and is also capable of recording 1080p videos at 30 FPS. Nubia Flip 5G houses a 4,310mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging.

The Nubia Flip 5G price starts at $599, claiming the phone as the most budget-friendly foldable choice, the device is now available in the market.
