Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang officially announced the highly anticipated Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 series, starting with the RTX 5090, during CES 2025.

This announcement has created a buzz in the tech world, as the series promises significant performance leaps and advanced features.

RTX 5090 specs

The recently launched RTX 5090 is packed with cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) features and more. It houses 32GB of GDDR7 memory, 21,760 CUDA cores, and an impressive bandwidth of 1,792GB/s. Nvidia claims that the RTX 5090 delivers a faster user experience than the RTX 4090, offering outstanding performance alongside a plethora of compelling features, including DLSS 4 and ray tracing.

A Cyberpunk 2077 demo displayed the RTX 5090 achieving 238fps, highlighting its incredible performance capabilities. However, its robust requirements are notable, with a total graphics power (TGP) of 575 watts and a recommended PSU of 1000 watts.

RTX 5080 specs

The RTX 5080 features 16GB of GDDR7 memory, 10,752 CUDA cores, and a bandwidth of 960GB/s. Nvidia positions it twice as fast as its predecessor, the RTX 4080. With a TGP of 360 watts and a recommended 850-watt PSU.

RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 specs

Both the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 deliver several significant upgrades. The RTX 5070 Ti, offers a seamless and smooth performance, surpassing the RTX 4090 in some cases due to the improved DLSS 4 technology.

Similarly, the RTX 5070, priced at $549, stands out as a highly capable option, designed to handle demanding tasks efficiently.

Innovations in DLSS 4 and RTX Neural Shaders

Nvidia introduced significant innovations with the RTX 50-series GPUs, including DLSS 4, a resolution upscaling software featuring Multi Frame Generation.

Moreover, this feature predicts up to three additional frames, enhancing frame rates by up to 8x. Additionally, RTX Neural Shaders is integrated with AI, offering enhanced visual quality, promising more realistic images than ever before.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5000 series pricing and availability

The recently launched RTX 5090 is priced at $1,999, while the RTX 5080 is available for $999. The RTX 5070 Ti costs $749, and the RTX 5070 is priced at $549.

Furthermore, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will be available in the market starting January 30, while the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 are set for a February release. Laptop variants of the RTX 50-series GPUs will be available by March 2025.
