OnePlus is gearing up to hold a launch event in October in China, where it will unveil the OnePlus 13, its upcoming smartphone, specifically for the Chinese market.
However, just a few days before the official announcement, the company’s officials teased the front design of its high-end flagship device.

Taking to Weibo, the Chinese social media platform, OnePlus China head Louis Lee revealed that the OnePlus 13 will feature a second-generation BOE "oriental screen."
The screen’s outdoor lighting test has been successful and it is likely to outperform the existing BOE X1 screen, Lee added. Moreover, the image posted by the official also showed the OnePlus 13’s display with a "The world's first second-generation oriental screen" tag.
Earlier, the Chinese display manufacturing company BOE also announced during the recent BOE Global Innovation Partner Conference 2024 that the latest BOE X2 screen will debut on the upcoming OnePlus 13 smartphone.

However, coming towards other features, the OnePlus 13 is expected to have a 6.82-inch 2K 10-bit LTPO micro quad curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The handset might be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset paired with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It will house a 6,000 mAh battery, support reverse, and a 100W wired fast charging.
Coming towards the optics, the OnePlus 13 is tipped to sport a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, a 50MP periscope telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens.
Additionally, the upcoming flagship might also launch with a redesigned camera island and a vegan leather finish. To be noted, its predecessor, the OnePlus 12 features a circular rear camera island and a glass finish.
