OnePlus 9R received an update of OxygenOS 14, based on Android 14, in early January. Since then, it has received two more updates aimed at enhancing performance, fixing bugs, and providing the latest security patch.

The initial update, OxygenOS 13.1.0.586, introduces the February 2024 Android security patch and removes the Background stream feature from the Smart Sidebar due to compliance concerns.

This one, OxygenOS 14.0.0.301 brings several enhancements compared to the previous version. It improves overall system stability and performance, enhances battery life in certain scenarios, and resolves an issue where the fingerprint icon persists on the screen post-unlocking. Additionally, camera stability is enhanced with this update, according to Gizmochina.

The updates will be gradually rolled out in incremental phases. Users who haven't received them yet can expect a wider release in the coming days.

In case users encounter any bugs or issues, they can report them for analysis using the Google Dialer *#800#. Alternatively, they can visit the OnePlus Community to file reports.

In related news, OnePlus is preparing to launch the OnePlus 12R Genshin Impact edition smartphone globally, including in India. Apart from visual and software customizations, the device reportedly boasts a unique "optical projection" feature.
