Social media platforms — including Facebook and Instagram have become inaccessible to users worldwide.
Users engaged on the Meta-owned platform recently reported complaints, as they both grappled with an outage. DownDetector, a web outage tracking site, showed a surge in complaints about both Instagram and Facebook after 1pm ET/10am PT.
Almost 64% of Instagram users are experiencing issues while logging, 24% of users are unable to use the app, and 13% of users struggle while scrolling feed.
Around 64% of users engaged on Facebook are unable to access the app as they are stuck on the logo and can’t see anything else, while 22% of users are experiencing server connectivity issues, and 14% are unable to scroll the news feed.
However, Meta hasn't addressed the issues yet.
