The government has introduced revised fees for various types of passports across Pakistan, including machine-readable passports (MRP), e-passports, and lost passport replacements.
These new fees are intended to streamline services and set different charges for varying passport requirements.
e-passport fees in Pakistan
For e-passports, the fee for a standard 36-page passport valid for 5 years is Rs3,000 for normal processing and Rs15,000 for urgent processing. For those seeking a 75-page e-passport, the fees are set at Rs15,500 for normal and Rs27,000 for urgent processing.
A 10-year, 36-page e-passport would cost Rs13,500 for normal processing and Rs24,750 for urgent. For a 75-page version with a 10-year validity, normal processing would cost Rs16,500, while urgent processing would cost Rs27,000.

Machine-readable passport fees in Pakistan
The government has also revised fees for machine-readable passports (MRP), which are a popular option. A 5-year, 36-page MRP costs Rs4,500 for normal processing, Rs7,500 for urgent, and Rs13,500 for fast-track. For a 10-year validity, fees increase to Rs6,700 for normal, Rs11,200 for urgent, and Rs16,200 for fast-track.
Larger MRPs with 72 or 100 pages also have distinct charges, with the 100-page version for 10 years costing Rs13,500 (normal), Rs17,000 (urgent), and Rs32,000 (fast-track).
Lost passport fee in Pakistan
The fee structure for a lost passport depends on how many times a passport has been lost. The first replacement costs Rs54,000, while a third replacement fee is set at Rs356,000.
These updated fees aim to enhance service efficiency across the passport-issuing process and cater to diverse travel needs.
