Paper Mario, the 2000 role-playing game published by Nintendo, has announced a Switch re-release to give Mario fans a better-looking version of the original game.

The upcoming Nintendo Switch is a remake of the historical role-playing game Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, which was originally launched on the GameCube in 2004 and was a particularly big hit in the series, selling just fewer than two million copies.

Rumours suggest the new updates in the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door series have brought many changes to make the game more visually appealing with advanced features. The recreation of Mario 3D World added more vibrant colours, illustrations, shiny stages and battles to make the overall gamer experience more beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.

Additionally, characters like Mario, Peach, and Bowser are still rendered as flat, 2D paper cutouts, and the game world is still made of thin cardboard objects. It is visible that everything looks much faster than before, as reported by IGN Pakistan.

Additionally, the level design also seems largely the same, perhaps to a fault at times. While recent Paper Marios arguably regressed in terms of story and combat, they offered undeniable improvements in terms of level design. While the actual changes made by the developers are mostly on Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door's Presentation.
