Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) — the national carrier of the country — has announced 14% fare cuts exclusively for flights from Toronto to Pakistan.

For the uninitiated ones, the 14% discount isn't confined to a certain compartment of a flight, but it would be applied to all the flight bookings between August 1 and 14.

As it stands, those who will book flights during this period will be able to relish cheap airfares for travel dates ranging from August 15 to November 14.

The special discount offer on flights from Toronto to Pakistan comes ahead of Pakistan's Independence Day marking the 77th anniversary of the country.

The occasion is commemorated across and beyond Pakistan on August 14, the day when Pakistan embraced independence and sovereignty following the termination of British rule in the subcontinent in 1947.

The provision of over 10% discount is an opportune moment for the travellers in terms of affordable airfares to travel to the North American city. Whereas, for the PIA, it would serve as a catalyst to help generate revenue which could be of immense financial aid to the sinking national airline of the country.
