PlayStation pulls back the curtain: State of Play unveils new games

Intimidating entry in the Alien franchise is to be released this holiday season on PSVR2

Sony, a Japanese tech giant, launched its third State of Play offering of the year today. PlayStation provided its fans with a 30-minute demo packed with news and updates on forthcoming games for PS5 and PSVR2.

Gameplay unveiled awaited launch dates, the event gave a healthy pill of hype for PlayStation fans.

Firewalk Studios blazed the show with a fiery new trailer for their forthcoming 5v5 multiplayer shooter, Concord. It features a vast roster of mercenaries and high-octane gameplay, Concord promises an exciting competitive experience. The fans mark their calendar for the August 23 launch, including a Beta test to be released in July.

God of War Ragnarok Conquers PC: Kratos and Atreus to unveil their Norse adventure to PC on September 19. The PC version will sport incredible visuals with ultrawide monitor support, unlocked framerates, and enhanced graphics options like DLSS and FSR.

Whereas, a PlayStation Network account will be needed to play the Dynasty Warriors Origins Ushers in a New Era. Omega Force comes back to the battlefield with Dynasty Warriors Origins, a fresh take on the beloved hack-and-slash franchise.

It promises "an all-new Warriors-like battlefield" and vast armies, Origins is set to unveil chaos on PS5 next year. Infinity Nikki Opens its World to Beta Testers: Fans are ready to fall into the elegant world of Infinity Nikki, the open-world RPG from former Zelda director Kentaro Tominaga.

Release dates and updates 

Alien: Rogue Incrusion: This intimidating entry in the Alien franchise is to be released this holiday season on PSVR2.

Marvel Rivals: The superhero team-based PvP shooter game prepares for a closed beta in July, with a PS5 version confirmed.

Until Dawn: The relaxed story of horror experience gets a visual overhaul and is to be unveiled on PS5 in the fall of 2024.

Path of Exile 2: The highly slated action RPG sequel to be released in late 2024, with PS5 and couch co-op.

Silent Hill 2 Remake: The historic psychological horror masterpiece comes back on October 8 for PC and PS5.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Capcom unveiled new monsters and environments for their visually stunning Monster Hunter adventure.

Astro Bot Returns in a Brand New Adventure: Team Asobi charmed fans with a new Astro Bot game, to be released on September 6th on PS5. It supports over 80 levels across six unique galaxies, which ensures it is the most energetic Astro Bot adventure soon.
