NASA issued a warning a few days ago regarding a "Potentially hazardous" and massive foot asteroid "2024" RN16 hitting Earth with a diameter ranging between 721 and 1,575 feet on September 15. However, the prediction failed and the asteroid safely passed by Earth.

If the asteroid could have skimmed past the Earth, then the damage would have been extreme, and the collision could have triggered a detonation in the atmosphere, creating a colossal shockwave. However, fortunately, the asteroid safely passed away the Earth, leaving it scathless.

NASA stated that it already evaluated the trajectories of all the near-Earth objects for the next 100 years, and the Earth was not in danger from the collision of apocalyptic asteroids.

Despite the relief of a near hit, several netizens expressed their concerns on social media platforms such as Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and more were flooded with different posts regarding the asteroid hitting Earth.
