Punjab's free Wi-Fi has reached another milestone as it joins over 230 locations in multiple cities as part of an ambitious project that sees pride under the Safe City project, echoing the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for a more connected province.

The Punjab government is looking to turn the province into a digital hub while easily and dependably making the internet accessible to citizens. An initiative towards digital divide bridging and digital inclusion will be the free Wi-Fi initiative.

Important cities and locations

Lahore tops the list with 200 free Wi-Fi locations:

  • Sheikhupura: 15 locations
  • Kasur: 10 locations
  • Nankana Sahib: 5 locations

Others are: Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Bahawalpur. This will once complete spread to other cities to further boost digital progress and connectivity.
