Meta — the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp — has dropped the prices of its Meta Quest 2 headset.
The price dip comes on the heels of the fresh release of the greatest addition to Meta’s virtual reality (VR) headset series named Quest.
It’s been only two months since Meta launched the Quest 3 headset in October 2023 that the social media giant has listed the next-gen Quest 2 headset permanently on a $50 cheaper price tag. While the original price of the 128GB version of the headset was $299, the price cut has made it available for $249, Tech Crunch reported.

Similarly, after a drop of $50, the 256GB version of the Quest can now be bought for $299, meaning that the headset was originally being sold for $349.
What’s surprising is that both the models of the Quest 2 headset have been on sale since Black Friday, and at the same prices that we mentioned above.
The Zuckerberg-led company has also put on sale a handful of accessories for the headset. Those accessories include:
- Quest 2 Elite Strap with battery: From $119.99 to $89.99
- Quest 2 Elite Strap: From $59.99 to $49.99
- Quest 2 Carrying Case: From $59.99 to $44.99
- Quest 2 Active Pack: From $69.99 to $59.99
- Quest 2 Fit Pack: From $49.99 to $39.99
Although the company boast a collection of more than 500 titles for the VR, it secured a seat in limelight after tying up a great deal by having Roblox launch its game for Quest headset through the Meta Quest Store.
The price reduction can probably save the VR enthusiasts from spending extra on the top-tier Quest 3 headset.
