Realme to unveil fast charging technology with rumoured 300W capability

Realme is set to unveil its new "fast charging technology” on August 14 in China. While the brand has yet to reveal any specific details, it is rumoured that this will be Realme’s 300W fast charging technology.

Previously, the Chinese tech brand introduced 240W charging technology with the Realme GT Neo 5 and Realme GT 5, capable of charging from 0% to 20% in 80 seconds, and from 0% to 50% in four minutes.

Realme's fast charging technology revealed

Ahead of the official launch, tipster Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks) posted a video showcasing Realme’s fast charging technology, suggesting it might even surpass 300W.

In the 38-second video, a phone is shown charging from 0% to 17% in just 35 seconds, with a timer displayed next to it to monitor the charging time.

Although the battery capacity of the phone and the time required to fully charge it remain unknown, these results are still impressive, demonstrating Realme’s commitment to offering ultra-fast charging.

Meanwhile, Realme's Vice President Chase Xu teased the upcoming feature in a post on X (formerly Twitter), sharing a photo that shows the battery charging up to 20% in just 41 seconds.

Realme will showcase its latest innovation in fast charging technology in the upcoming week, with a preview scheduled during Realme's annual 828 Fan Fest in Shenzhen, China.
