Xiaomi has launched a new smartphone in its popular Redmi Note series, the Redmi Note 13R Pro. The phone is currently available in China and offers impressive specifications at an affordable price. The Redmi Note 13R Pro features a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 processor, a dual rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel main sensor, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Basic features of Redmi Note 13R Pro
The Redmi Note 13R Pro is priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 23,000) for the sole 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model in China. It comes in three colour options: Midnight Black, Time Blue, and Morning Light Gold. The phone is currently up for sale through Mi’s official website.
The display of the Redmi Note 13R Pro is a 6.67-inch (1,080x2,400 pixels) OLED panel with up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness and 2,160Hz pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming. The screen has a hole punch cutout at the top centre for the 16-megapixel selfie camera. The phone runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
The Redmi Note 13R Pro has a dual rear camera system that consists of a 108-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. The phone supports 4K video recording at 30fps, 1080p video recording at 60fps, and 720p slow-motion video recording at 960fps. The phone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, NFC, USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Glonass, and Galileo connectivity options. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
The Redmi Note 13R Pro is expected to be a successor to the Redmi Note 12R Pro 5G, which was launched in May this year in China. The Redmi Note 12R Pro 5G had a similar design and display as the Redmi Note 13R Pro, but it had a different processor (MediaTek Dimensity 800U), a quad rear camera setup (64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel + 2-megapixel), and a slightly smaller battery (4,520mAh).
