Redmi Watch 5 launched with HyperOS 2: Price, features

Redmi has launched its new smart wearable device, Redmi Watch 5, as Xiaomi sub-brand latest smartwatch in China. The newly launched wearable consist of striking features to enhance user experience.

The Redmi Watch 5 supports customised watch faces and comes with 5ATM water resistance.

Redmi Watch 5 features

The Redmi Watch 5 boasts a 2.07-inch AMOLED 2.5D screen with 432x514 pixels resolution, a peak brightness of 1,500nits, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The newly launched Watch 5 features an aluminium frame and a metal dial. Its version runs on Xiaomi's HyperOS 2 interface.

Xiaomi has offered an eSIM version to the Redmi Watch 5, letting users make phone calls and send out messages on supported platforms. The wearable supports more than 150 sports modes, such as walking, running, jumping skating.

Moreover, the Redmi Watch 5 provides over 200 watch faces, along with boasting a linear motor that provides over 20 vibration modes.

The wearable supports third-party apps. The Watch 5 includes an analog front-end (AFE) chip equipped with Xiaomi's self-developed algorithm to give heart rate and sleep monitoring features.

The Redmi Watch 5 sports a 550mAh battery, claimed to deliver a battery life of up to 24 days of normal usage. The new wearable is compatible with devices running on Android 8.0 and later or iOS 12.0 and later.

Redmi Watch 5 price

The price of the Redmi Watch 5 is CNY 599 (approximately INR 6,600), available in Elegant Black and Moon Silver shades. The eSIM version costs CNY 799 (approximately INR 9,000) and it is available in Titanium colour.

Currently, both variants of Redmi Watch 5 are available for purchase in China.
