REMspace, a neurotechnology startup, recently succeeded in demonstrating the first confirmed communication between two individuals during a dream.
REMspace efficiently utilised the advanced technology, as they showed an experiment where participants entered into a lucid dream, and were conscious regarding their dreaming, a random word “Remmyo” was transferred to him through earbuds.
The startup showed that facial electromyography sensors are capable of decoding particular sounds which are made up in their dream prompting the development of Remmyo, which is a dream language which can only be discerned through sensors.

After eight minutes of remotely tracking the brain waves including other polysomnographic data with the help of a specially designed device, another participant entered into the lucid dreams, got a stored message from the first person who was earlier entered into the dreams, and later on verified it after waking up.
REMspace CEO founder Michael Raduga stated: "Yesterday, communicating in dreams seemed like science fiction. Tomorrow, it will be so common we won’t be able to imagine our lives without this technology. This opens the door to countless commercial applications, reshaping how we think about communication and interaction in the dream world. That's why we believe that REM sleep and related phenomena, like lucid dreams, will become the next big industry after AI."
This groundbreaking result has become possible after five years of constant efforts and the researchers are still gearing up to enhance their technology, and trying to drive valuable insights with every new attempt. Additionally, to push the boundaries towards excellence REMspace is setting its sights on further challenges soon.
