RTFKT to halt operations by January 2025

RTFKT, a renowned digital pioneer specialising in blending Web3 technology, gaming, and sneaker culture, has announced to shut down its operations by January 2025. 

Having been a leading force in the realm of digital creativity, the news of the brand's closure took the relevant community by storm.

RTFKT was founded in 2019 by Steven Vasilev, Chris Le, and Benoit Pagotto, all determined to revolutionise the creativity of fashion to new heights by fusing the physical and digital worlds altogether.

Challenging the limits with their fashion, collectables and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), RTFKT quickly became the beacon for digital artists all around the world.

By collaborating with Clone X Takashi Murakami, the company created its first digital sneakers that could turn into a physical product, which provided a new groundbreaking method that attracted many 3D artists and digital innovators.

In an official statement shared on its social media, RTFKT acknowledged the role its community played in making it successful.

Despite the declaration of its closure, RTFKT claimed that its legacy will live through the creators and projects it inspired. The digital pioneer also announced to launch of a new website which would showcase their iconic work, evidence of its dedication to stretching artistic boundaries.

RTFKT will reportedly produce MNLTH X with the BLADE DROP, its last innovation before perishing. Although RTFKT's Web3 services will conclude in 2025, they assured that the innovative spirit they cultivated would live on through their community.
