Originally launched as an experimental browser in 2016, Safari Technology Preview is designed to inspect features and functionalities Apple tends to integrate into the future version of the Safari browser.

Safari Technology Preview 197, the recently released update of the testing browser, is said to have brought various bug fixes and updates for Canvas, CSS, Forms, JavaScript, Media, Rendering, Security, SVG, Web Inspector, WebDriver, and WebGL.

Latest macOS versions compatible with Safari Technology Preview 197
The latest version of the Safari Technology Preview is compatible with macOS Sonoma and the macOS Sequoia beta. The latter is the newest version of macOS currently undergoing beta testing by Apple.
