The Samsung Galaxy A06 5G is back in the spotlight after a listing on a popular benchmarking site suggested the handset might feature a MediaTek processor.

Set to launch soon, the Galaxy A06 5G is expected to retain many features of the Galaxy A06 4G variant, which debuted in India in September 2024, while introducing 5G support.

Galaxy A06 5G spotted on Geekbench

The Samsung Galaxy A06 5G, bearing the model number SM-A066B, was recently listed on Geekbench. The device achieved scores of 731 in single-core and 1,816 in multi-core performance tests.

The listing also revealed an octa-core chipset configuration, with six cores clocked at 2.0GHz and two cores at 2.40GHz.

Expected specifications of Galaxy A06 5G

Based on the Geekbench data, the Galaxy A06 5G is likely to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, paired with up to 4GB of RAM. The device is expected to run Android 15-based One UI 7.0.

Notably, the same model number was previously spotted on the GSMA database.

The Galaxy A06 5G is anticipated to feature a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. It is expected to house a 5,000mAh battery, supporting 25W fast charging.

In terms of cameras, the handset is likely to sport a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor on the rear, alongside an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies.
