Samsung is working on a new mid-range smartphone for the Galaxy A-series, the Galaxy A36, which is set to debut as a successor to the Galaxy A35. 

While Samsung has yet to confirm the launch date and timeline, the handset was recently spotted on a popular benchmarking site which suggested that the Galaxy A36 might feature Qualcomm's processor.  

Geekbench listing

The Samsung Galaxy A36, bearing the model number SM-A366U, was recently listed on Geekbench. The device achieved scores of 967 in single-core and 2,750 in multi-core performance tests.

The listing also revealed that four of the chip’s cores peaked at a high 2.4GHz frequency and the rest of its efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz.

Galaxy A36 features: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC expected

Based on the Geekbench data, the Galaxy A36 is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 6GB of RAM.

In terms of cameras, the handset is likely to sport a 50MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro unit on the rear.

Galaxy A36 price

The Samsung Galaxy A36 is expected to be priced around $400 (approximately Rs111,000 in Pakistan). The device is also expected to run Android 15-based One UI 7.0. Moreover, it will include an in-display fingerprint sensor.
