
Samsung on Monday officially launched the premium mid-range Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G in India. These latest additions are promised to get four years of upgrades and five years of security updates. These are said to be the first A series smartphones to offer Samsung Knox Vault security features.
Samsung Galaxy A55 5G, Galaxy A35 5G specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A55 5G is offered in various RAM and storage configurations, including 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB, and is available in Awesome Iceblue and Awesome Navy colours. On the other hand, the Galaxy A35 5G comes in 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB variants, and is offered in Awesome Iceblue, Awesome Navy, and Awesome Lilac hues.
Both the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G are dual-SIM (Nano) smartphones running on Android 14-based One UI 6.1. They sport 6.6-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED displays with up to 120Hz refresh rates, 1,000 nits peak brightness, and Vision Booster feature. The displays are protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ and feature hole-punch cutouts for the selfie cameras.
These smartphones are powered by octa-core chipsets, likely the Exynos 1480 for the Galaxy A55 and Exynos 1380 for the Galaxy A35. The Galaxy A55 comes with options for 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, while the Galaxy A35 offers 6GB or 8GB of RAM and similar storage options. Both devices come with various connectivity options, including 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C ports.

Both smartphones come with 5,000mAh batteries supporting 25W fast charging and are claimed to provide up to 83 hours of audio playback on a single charge. They also feature IP67 water and dust resistance and include a range of sensors for enhanced functionality.
The Galaxy A55 5G measures 161.1x77.4x8.2mm and weighs 213 grams, while the Galaxy A35 5G measures 161.7x78.0x8.2mm and weighs 209 grams. In terms of cameras, both devices feature triple rear camera setups with a 50-megapixel primary camera.

As of now, pricing details for the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G have not been disclosed on Samsung's India website. However, it is expected that the prices will be revealed during the Samsung Live event scheduled for March 14 at 12:00 PM IST, according to Gadgets360.
