The sphere of Chromebooks —top-notch portable gadgets serving as a better, long-lasting alternative to laptops— has gotten swamped over the recent few years, with numerous brands emerging on the surface.

Samsung ranks to be topping the list of manufacturers in this domain, but to the discontentment of Samsung fanatics, the tech giant hasn't made a premium-tier Chromebook in several years.

However, in a startling revelation reported by Android Authority, the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus is going to be launched next week. If executed, this debut of the latest Samsung Chromebook would mark almost a year after Samsung aptly dubbed the device "Plus" in a hint.

From anything having "Plus" in its name, buyers commonly expect that it would best match the standard of a high-end device, such as high-end processors, high-resolution webcams, and minimum system requirements.

The last time Samsung launched a Chromebook iteration was three years ago in 2021 when the Galaxy Chromebook 2 launched and treated Samsung lovers with a plethora of some of the most sought-after features and specifications.

Google's Fall Chromebook Showcase event

The launch could be observed at Google's Fall Chromebook Showcase event slated to kick off on September 24, 2024, in New York. As of now, there's no surety whether Google will launch the new Galaxy Chromebook variant or not.

If the leak has anything to go by, only time and a keen eye on the upcoming event would bring to light if Google really means to undertake the debut or delay it to some other time.
