The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is generating buzz with rumours suggesting that one of its devices, the Galaxy S25 Slim Edition, might be less than 7mm thin. This new addition to the lineup aims to be the slimmest phone in the Galaxy S25 series, competing with the rumoured iPhone 17 Air.

Reportedly, the Galaxy S25 Slim Edition’s thickness might be around 6.x mm. Although the exact figure is not disclosed, it indicates that the phone will be 7 mm or thinner.
This ultra-slim design is made possible by advancements in battery technology, specifically silicon-carbon anode batteries. These batteries pack more energy, take less space, and improve heat management without compromising on battery life, allowing for slimmer smartphone designs.

The Galaxy S25 Slim Edition is expected to compete at the Ultra level with impressive camera features. It will have two 50 MP sensors (ultrawide and telephoto) and a 200 MP ISOCELL HP5 main sensor on the back.
To reduce the phone's thickness, Samsung might use Advanced Lens on Plastic (ALoP) technology, which can minimise bulk from camera slots.
