Samsung is likely to introduce a “Slim” handset as a part of the purported Galaxy S25 series which is set to go official at the start of 2025, according to recent reports.

This development comes following the ongoing rumours regarding Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air which is expected to debut in the second half of 2025 and rumoured to replace the “Plus” model.

Galaxy S25 Slim could rival iPhone 17 Air

Citing sources, ETNews reported that Samsung is considering the launch of a slim model as a part of the Galaxy S25 series.

Similar to the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, the slimmer version of the Galaxy S25 will reportedly focus on being thinner. However, it might be released a few months after the Galaxy S25 series.

The South Korean publication also reported that Samsung is considering a limited release for the Galaxy S25 Slim model with the capacity to test market reception, and based on customer response, it might reconfigure its Galaxy S26 lineup which is scheduled for 2026.

If this is to happen, the shift to a slimmer version would be a notable design change as the Galaxy S series usually comprises a base, Plus, and Ultra variants.
