The Korean tech giant holds a record of release a stream of electronic devices every year. However, the grip of misfortune does not them all fly and only a successfully secure a place in limelight.

Much the same happened with Samsung's Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Tab S6 Lite a couple of years back when these gadgets failed to capture the market.

However, a recent spate of rumours suggested that the company is doing something big and planning to launch updated 2024 versions of these products soon.

The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite first launched nearly four years ago in 2020, with the Galaxy Watch 4 series launching a year later in mid-2021. Despite Samsung having since released two or three new generations of each product line, though, it seems the company has plans to revive these older models.

This has been disclosed by a renowned tipster Roland Quandt (@rquandt). In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Quandt claimed that “Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 (2024)” and “Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024)” are around the corner.

It is extremely unusual to observe product model names being reused in such a manner, and it is surprising to see Samsung potentially reusing these products that are over 3 years old. Adding to the confusion, Samsung has already done something similar with the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.

The tablet was first launched on May 16, 2020, and then re-released on May 23, 2022. The updated version received a new chip, transitioning from the Exynos 9611 to the Snapdragon 732G.

`It's uncertain what Samsung has in store for updates this time around. The Tab S6 Lite and the Galaxy Watch 4 could potentially receive new chipsets, although both products are still performing well today aside from their chips. The main drawbacks of the potential updates would be the Tab S6 Lite's 60Hz display and the absence of sapphire glass on the Watch 4, but the right pricing could address any concerns.

There is no information available on the release dates for these products, but we will definitely keep an eye out for any updates. The Galaxy Watch 4 is currently available for $169, while the 2022 version of the Tab S6 Lite can be purchased starting from $229.
