The giant manufacturer in the realm of handsets, Samsung, appears all set to be introducing a new member to its decade-old series launched smartphone series named Samsung Galaxy XCover, as per some credible leaks.

Courtesy of the trustworthy tipster Android Headline on its official website, the newcomer to the series, the Samsung Galaxy XCover, would not be the successor to the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro and would be based on a model number SM-G556B instead.

On the contrary, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 would be a successor to the Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 which was unveiled in 2021. However, the South Korean tech manufacturer hasn’t nodded to the leaks.

Like the preceding smartphones of the XCover series, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Xcover 7 will feature a rugged build, offering a durable sturdy build with upped corners that allow the handset to absorb shocks.

The device is expected to feature a MIL-STD-810H-compliant build with drop-to-concrete resistance alongside IP68 dust and water resistance.

According to the leaks, the rear panel is to boast a grooved design which is detachable, meaning that the device will feature a removable battery. The leaked renders didn’t talk about the battery capacity and charging speed of the handset.

Housing the front shooter inside a waterdrop-shaped notch, the display panel has thick bezels, something which is commonly expected in a rugged smartphone like this.

Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 will offer a single rear camera embellished with a red accent ring around it.

Along the left edge of the phone is housed a customisable XCover key with a red accent colour, which enables it to execute tasks such as opening apps, barcode scanning, push to talk, and whatnot. The volume and the power buttons would be housed on the right edge of the handset.
