A reliable source of Samsung leaks has revealed more information about Samsung’s new affordable Galaxy Z Flip FE and the next-generation Galaxy Z Flip, the company's upcoming smartphones, which will likely be released in 2025.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE chipset
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), tipster @Jukanlosreve, citing industry sources, suggested that the purported Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE will feature the Exynos 2400e chipset. The same unit powers the Galaxy S24 FE in select regions.
It’s worth mentioning that the same source previously claimed the Galaxy Z Flip FE will run the Exynos 2400, the one used in the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+.
Notably, Samsung's Exynos chipsets offer a cost-effective alternative to the Snapdragon 8 series, making it ideal for budget-friendly foldable like the Galaxy Z Flip FE, which is expected to offer all foldable features at a reduced price point.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 chipset
On the other hand, the leaker also claimed that the premium Galaxy Z Flip 7, which will replace the Galaxy Flip 6, will run the yet-to-be-released Exynos 2500 chipset.
While Samsung's current foldable smartphones, such as the Z Flip 6 and Fold 6, are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the tech giant is likely to make the shift from Qualcomm to in-house chipsets.
