Samsung is expected to introduce a revamped Bixby voice assistant with the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series, which is likely to be released in early 2025.

According to a credible tipster, Ice Universe, the updated Bixby will be a significant selling point for the upcoming flagship lineup. Bixby was initially launched in 2017, replacing S Voice. Despite its debut, Bixby has faced several challenges in outperforming Google Assistant and Apple’s Siri.

However, the South Korean-based tech giant is allegedly upgrading it by integrating cutting-edge generative artificial intelligence (AI), aiming to use features from Alphabet-owned Google’s second-generation Gemini Nano update to broaden Bixby’s functionality. This strategic move will help Samsung stay competitive in the voice assistant market.

With Apple gearing up to incorporate Apple Intelligence into Siri with the iOS 18.3 update, Samsung is anticipated to keep Bixby on pace. Regardless of scepticism from some of Ice Universe’s followers, the tipster remains confident in Bixby’s substantial potential as a key feature of the entire Galaxy S25 series.

Bixby’s improved capabilities and how it stands out among other features in the Galaxy S25 remain to be seen in the near future. Currently, the rumoured enhancements in the Galaxy S25 cement it as a strong contender in the competitive AI-driven smartphone realm.
