Samsung has officially started rolling out the Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch for all eligible Galaxy smartwatches. The new One UI Watch update introduces a host of innovative features integrated with cutting-edge technology, including Energy Score, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered sleep tracking, and much more.

The South Korea-based tech giant initially launched the One UI 6 Watch beta program in the United States (US) back in June 2024, targeting Galaxy Watch users. Firstly, the beta program was limited to newer models, but it later expanded to include older devices such as the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5 series. 

Eligible devices for One UI 6 Watch update

The stable One UI 6 Watch update is now available for the following devices:

  • Galaxy Watch 6 Series
  • Galaxy Watch 5 Series
  • Galaxy Watch 4 Series

  • Heart rate
  • Sleep patterns
  • Activity levels

Enhanced sleep tracking

The AI-powered sleep tracker in One UI 6 Watch offers advanced analysis to improve sleep quality. Key features include:

  • Monitoring respiratory rate during sleep
  • Tracking sleep movements to identify disruptions
  • Providing customised sleep insights

Additional features 

Workout routine: This feature lets users create customised exercise programs by combining multiple workouts, and tailoring routines to achieve their fitness goals.

Double Pinch Gesture: A new gesture control feature that allows users to Answer calls, Capture photos, and seamlessly control other connected Galaxy devices.
