Samsung is reportedly preparing to introduce the next-generation Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro wireless earbuds, succeeding the Galaxy Buds 2 and Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, respectively. The codenames for these earbuds have surfaced online.
The firmware development for these models has already started. It's expected that these new models will be officially unveiled later this year. Previously, there were speculations that Samsung would announce the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro alongside the Galaxy Z foldable in July last year.
Gadgets360, citing GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are currently in development with model numbers SM-R630 and SM-R530, respectively. Samsung has reportedly initiated firmware development for both these audio devices.

Samsung has usually released Pro and standard variants of Galaxy Buds at different timelines. For instance, the Galaxy Buds 2 with active noise cancellation (ANC) were launched in 2021, while the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro was released one year later in August 2022.
This year, it's speculated that Samsung will unveil both the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and Galaxy Buds 3 at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, where the spotlight will primarily be on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Fold 6. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is expected to feature overall improvements in sound quality, noise cancellation, and battery life.
Previously, rumours were suggesting that the South Korean tech giant would unveil the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July last year, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5.
However, the company skipped the launch of the premium Galaxy Buds Pro variant and instead introduced the more affordable Galaxy Buds FE, priced at INR 9,999. While, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro was launched in India at INR 17,999, while the Galaxy Buds 2 came with a price of INR 11,999.
