If you own the latest iPhone 14 or 15, then Apple has a cool feature for you: you can now use a space connection to get help from Verizon when you're stuck on the road.
Apple pulled the curtain off this amazing feature on a support page found by MacRumors. To make the best of it, you'll need a phone running iOS 17.2 or a newer version and a Verizon SIM card.
The tech giant collaborated with AAA to offer this satellite service which ensures that if you're in a place with no cell service, you can still get roadside assistance using satellites.

Verizon's roadside assistance program
Verizon's roadside assistance program is managed by Signature Motor Club, owned by Allstate. It's like having a superhero for your car troubles, whether you're in your friend's car or a rental.
They'll tow your vehicle up to 10 miles, help if you're stuck, bring you fuel, jump-start your car, fix your tires, and more.
The cost of roadside assistance feature on iPhone
You can pay $4.99 each month for each line with Verizon, or if you're not into subscriptions, they have fixed fees for Verizon users who need the service.
Who can avail iPhone’s satellite service?
Apple offers two years of this service and their Emergency SOS feature for free for those buying a new iPhone 14 or 15.
Apple even extended the service to current iPhone 14 owners. But here's the downside: if you're not a AAA member, you'll have to pay for any roadside help you need. Now, with Verizon's assistance, you've got more options if you're stuck in a faraway spot or if AAA isn't your thing.
