Siri face removed from Apple watch with watchOS 11 update

Apple announced watchOS 11 updates at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024, with several innovative features including Apple’s voice assistant Siri. The Siri Face, which debuted with several innovative features allowed users to access the information and perform tasks using Apple’s voice assistant directly from the watch face.

However, the Siri Face feature has become redundant and replayed with a new Smart Stack feature. With this feature, users can access information and perform tasks more easily and efficiently than ever before.

This feature allows users to access widget information based on certain factors including time, location, and live Activities, which were previously missing from the iOS watch. The Smart Stack feature offers the users a more intuitive and user-friendly interface than Siri Face, making it a more appealing alternative for the users.

Siri Face became outdated and was no longer being actively developed by Apple that resulted its removal from the iOS device. The Cupertino tech company has been focusing on bring some more improvements in the Smart Stack feature to make it more robust.

The Smart Stack feature offers the users to the option of customisation, allowing them to choose which widgets and information they would like to see on their iOS devices such as weather, news, and music controls. Users can also download the third-party widgets from App Store.

In addition to the Smart Stack feature, watchOS 11 includes a number of other new features and improvements including a new keyboard, improved health and fitness tracking, and enhanced privacy settings.
