Snapchat has announced its latest updates at the sixth annual Snap Partner Summit (SPS), flaunting features that would define the social media space. Snapchat is changing to better meet the needs of its active users, now exceeding 300 million.
Snapchat new features and updates
Some of the features and updates include:
- New Profile Design: An app with a simplified and organized, all-communication, photography, and entertainment centre.
- Enhanced AR Lens Studio: It would encourage developers to build advanced AR experiences.
- Easy Lens: AI feature that enables its users to build Lenses in one minute
- GenAI Suite: New animation, body morphing, and icon generation tools.
- Snap Star Collab Studio: Developed collaboration tools for the creators and brands
Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) users open the Snapchat app 45 times per day. The above updates would further ensure the consolidation of the position of Snapchat as the favourite digital communication platform in the region.
Snapchat creator support
Snapchat also focuses on the support of creators in its updates:
- Public Profiles Switch between Personal and Public Accounts Easily.
- Pinned snaps: Favourite snaps appear right at the top of your public profiles
- Reply features: Use pictures and videos to answer messages from friends.
The Snap Centre has been a digital extension of the GCC's social fabric. The pioneering updates ensure that relationships would remain fundamental to the platform, said Snap Inc. Vice President Hussein Freijeh in MENA.
He added, "Our core focus is supporting our thriving creator community. The amplified Snap Star Collab studio would strengthen this goal."
These Snapchat Updates would allow businesses to connect better with their audience. With 80 percent of consumers in the MENA region wanting to use Augmented Reality (AR) daily, this experience would most certainly become instrumental in the strengthening the local brand's ties with Snapchat.
