Solar panel rate in Pakistan drop to all-time low: Check latest price

Solar panel prices in Pakistan have plunged to an unprecedented low of Rs30-32 per Watt, marking the most significant drop in the industry's history.

This significant decrease is attributed to an oversupply in the domestic market and a global reduction in lithium battery prices, which has also led to lower international solar panel costs.

Over the past year, lithium battery prices on the international market have plummeted by nearly 50%. This sharp decline has had a notable effect on solar panel prices in Pakistan, driving them down significantly.

However, the prices of dry batteries have remained relatively unchanged, as importers have resisted passing on the cost reductions to local consumers.

Pakistan’s solar energy sector has been growing from 2023 as import from China, inflated electricity bills, and low cost of solar panels increase the demand for net metering systems across the country.
