Just like many other well-known tech giants popular these days, Sony too has ventured into the domain of robotics by rolling out a limited-edition Aibo robotic dog in a two-tone Kinako colourway.

The Aibo robot dog is available in light brown and white finishes and introduced the following two new eye colours: bright auburn and glossy dark brown. To choose from the two eye colours, users can use the My Aibo app.
The launch of Sony's Aibo robotic dog coincided with the sixth anniversary of the launch of the latest generation of Aibos.

Aibo robot dog features
By employing cloud-based AI services, the Aibo robot is capable of recognising individuals, taking photos of memorable moments, learning new tricks, navigating rooms, as well as adopting unique personality traits for each dog and owner.
Except for the colours of the body and eyes and the limited-edition collar, the Aibo Kinako Edition shares so much in common with the functionality of other Aibos.
A 64-bit quad-core CPU is integrated into the head of the Aibo ERS-1000 to control multiple actuators, mouth, neck, waist, paws, legs, ears, and tail. The inclusion of this CPU ensures flexible movement across 22 axes.
To interact with the outer world, the robot accompanies two front-facing cameras, speakers, and four microphones along with time-of-flight, ranging, pressure, capacitive, motion, gyro, acceleration, and light sensors.

Since limited units have been rolled out for the Sony Aibo Kinako Edition, buyers are advised to get themselves one before supplies run out.
The latest edition of the Aibo robotic dog is open for purchase at Sony Stores in Japan or online for a one-time purchase price of 272,800 yen (approximately $1,880).
