Sony Xperia 1 VI is expected to launch on May 17 just six days after the launch of Xperia 1 V on May 11. However, it might come with some changes and with more colour options, according to a recent interview given by four industry insiders.

The Sony Xperia 1 V was launched with three colour options — black, white and green. However, the Xperia 1 VI will be available in four colours including, red along with the three mentioned above. Before this, only the original Xperia 5 was seen in red colour which was even like magenta, not completely red. Along with the colour, there might be some changes in the display, camera and other features as well.

The display will be available in a new ratio rather than 21:9. Interview suggests that it will be an FHD+ display instead of QHD+. However, there’s no change in it as the Xperia 5 series has also been using it. Additionally, the three camera apps — Photo Pro, Cinema Pro and Video Pro will be merged as a single app and the interviewers called them ‘iPhone-like’ along with an option to switch the tabs.

While the Sony Xperia 10 VI will be released on the same date as of Xperia 1 VI, the insiders also describe its details such as it will be available in different colours instead of the same as the Xperia 10 V, maybe in mint colour and will not have a third camera.
