Elon Musk says that he’s planning to move X and SpaceX from California to Texas.

"Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas,” Musk wrote in a tweet while referring to California’s Safety Act.

The Safety Act signed into law by California Governor Gavin Newsome prevents schools from imposing rules requiring teachers to disclose changes to a student’s gender identity without their permission. The act also prohibits retaliation against teachers who refuse to suspend a student, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Musk continued his dialogue in another tweet, revealing that X, currently based in San Francisco, "will move to Austin."

Last year, the Wall Street Journal claimed that Musk intended to create his own community called Smallbrook outside Austin, apparently making his university.

Musk’s other companies have also been seeing some movement, recently, following his $55 billion pay package being struck down, Musk announced that SpaceX headquarters will be moving to Texas from Delaware.

He did the same with his golden egg, in 2021 Musk moved Tesla ou to Texas after a California judge had his Fremont facility shut down during the COVID pandemic.
