Netflix has unveiled the content roadmap for its mobile game, “Squid Game: Unleashed” Season 2, featuring new characters and events inspired by the show’s second season.
What is Squid Game: Unleashed?
Squid Game: Unleashed is a free-to-play battle royale game inspired by a megahit series on the streaming platform. The game has been developed by Boss Fight Entertainment, a studio based in Allen, Texas.
What’s new in Squid Game: Unleashed Season 2?
Starting today, players will be able to access the “Mingle” game, a new map inspired by one of the memorable new games introduced in Squid Game season 2.
Notably, three players from the show’s season 2 will also feature in the game, including rapper Thanos (Player 230), mother-son team Geuma-ja (Player 149), and Yong-sik (Player 007).
Netflix also plans to include Thanos’ Red Light Challenge and Dalgona Mash Up Collection Event in the game starting January 9. These new updates will be released throughout the month.
However, it should be noted that Netflix has made “Squid Game: Unleashed” available for free for non-subscribers.
Meanwhile, in a historic milestone, "Squid Game" Season 2 became the first series to simultaneously claim the top spot in all 93 countries where Netflix offers its services.
