Following its release in Japan and Canada a few days ago, Apple has released its Tap to Pay on iPhone in Italy as well.
Officially confirmed by the iPhone maker on Wednesday, the move points towards the company's zest to make its contactless payment method available across the globe.

As is the case of other countries, the tech Cupertino-based company has long been indulged to secure fruitful collaboration with prominent payment platforms in Italy in a bid to simplify for them the extension of its contactless payment facility to their customers.

SumUp Tap to Pay
Among the commonly used major payment service providers of the country, Nexi SoftPOS and SumUp are the first platforms to have nodded for a team up with Apple in Italy.
Which iPhone models support Tap to Pay
In case you're not well aware of what Tap to Pay actually is, it's a contactless payment method introduced by Apple for merchants so they can accept payments using a compatible iOS app on an iPhone XS or newer with the latest iOS update installed in them.
The process only requires the merchant to ask their customers to hold their iPhone steadily, Apple Watch, or compatible NFC card close to merchant’s iPhone to make a payment.
What sets this digital payment service apart is that no extra is required to make payments, and its well guarded with NFC technology. The facility also enables developers to use an API available in iOS 15.4 and later to integrate in their software programmes.
