Doing away with the affordable price tags of the oddly-shaped, recently launched new addition to its portfolio, Elon Musk-owned Tesla raised the prices of the baseline Cybertruck among all the models that debuted alongside.
The standard model of Tesla Cybertruck was offered for a very attractive price point of $39,000 at the time of its debut. But that changed shortly after the first fleet of Cybertruck was handed to customers, as the vehicle's prices then rose by over $20,000 to stand at $60,990.
During the most recent weekend, the electric vehicle maker stopped taking orders for the standard Tesla Cybertruck from customers and reemerged on the scene after a week with a bitter pill to swallow: the baseline Tesla Cybertruck now costs $99,990, after undergoing an increase never seen before.

As part of the price adjustments, the price of the top-tier Cyberbeast, which offers a range of 301 miles, was jacked up by $20,000, from $99,990 to $119,990.
Whereas, the mid-tier Cybertruck could be had by potential Tesla customers the same month of ordering it.
Although the Cybertruck with base configuration has been delisted from orders, buyers who previously ordered may have it on their doorstep sometime next year.
The expulsion of the standard Tesla Cybertruck comes at aa time when the EV maker seems bound to deliver on its promise, as Tesla CEO Elon Musk last year claimed that Tesla had taken a million orders for the Cybertruck.
