Tesla is resurrecting its longest-range Model 3, making it the second cheapest model available in the popular Sedan series. According to the website, the Sedan will cost $42,490.
The Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) variant will have an estimated range of 393 miles, coming at a time when the company could benefit from a nudge as trends remain slow.
New Tesla Model 3
The long-range Model 3 RWD was initially launched back in 2017, and it is making a reappearance after being discontinued a couple of years later.
The new refreshed look is paired with a new sticker price for a more rejuvenated experience.

The new trim is almost $5,000 cheaper than the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive Long Range Model 3, but $3,500 more than the standard-range RWD Model 3. It also has about 100 miles more range than the base Model 3, which is worth noting.
One thing to keep in mind is that Tesla has had a poor record with its range figures, which have often been found to be misleading. A report from last year highlighted a lot of elasticity in Tesla’s range estimates, resulting in inaccurate figures.
Considering the $7,500 federal EV tax credit, the new Long Range RWD version hits that $35,000 mark that Tesla originally promised when the Model 3 was first introduced in 2017.
