Toyota has unveiled its second electric vehicle (EV) model, the Toyota Urban Cruiser, which is exclusive to the European market.

The new Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will make its public debut at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show scheduled for next month and will be available in the UK in the third quarter of 2025.

Toyota Urban Cruiser SUV features

Measuring 168.7 inches long, the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV is a half-foot shorter than the Toyota Corolla Cross, the smallest new SUV currently available in the US market.

According to the company, the Urban Cruiser EV’s wheelbase is about 5 inches longer than the European-only Yaris Cross, making it another fun-sized electric EV for this region.

The SUV also features a new EV platform similar to the Suzuki e-Vitara which was announced to be manufactured in India last month.

The Urban Cruiser comes with three power outputs and two lithium-iron-phosphate battery choices.

Like the E Vitara, the Urban Cruiser also includes a relatively small 49 kWh battery with an FWD drivetrain and a 61kWh battery with an option for AWD.

Despite its small footprint, the SUV offers a flexible interior thanks to a 2700mm wheelbase and also includes downhill assist and trail modes for added control.

Moreover, a digital cockpit anchors the dashboard, featuring a 10.25-inch instrument cluster alongside a 10.1-inch infotainment display.
