Imagine you're travelling long distances and busying yourself with a few games. Well, Uber could very soon be launching mini-games on its app, turning this into reality.
This Monday, Uber released a new version of its app. As per MacRumoers contributor, Aaron Perris, a new code has been added to the iPhone variant, making references to mini-games.
Though the code doesn’t make the games available, owing to network problems, the addition of such code appears to confirm the suspicion.
For its part, the company has made nothing apparent, it's possible it's still toying with the idea and could very well shelve it altogether.
Nonetheless, such a feature would increase engagement with the Uber app, potentially increasing the number of rides booked.
Besides the obvious, it is unclear what benefit the company intends to derive from this addition, regardless, this is reminiscent of Youtube’s addition of light-weight games to its iPhone app last month.
